Eitaro Candy - Umeboshi Ame
This candy has been named Umeboshi Ame by the people of Edo, who enjoyed wordplay, as the shape resembled umeboshi, or pickled plums. Does not contain any umeboshi flavoring.
Eitaro's signature candy, produced based on the recipe for aruheito, uses traditional techniques that date back to the Edo period. The candy is stretched into a stick and then cut into small round pieces to not hurt the inside of the mouth.
